Kadıköy,Istanbul

We will be getting married in Kadıköy, Kubilay's hometown, located on the Anatolian ( Asian) side of Istanbul. Luckily Kadikoy is a bustling and lively neighborhood with cultural landmarks, delicious food, and fascinating sights!

Flights to Istanbul

Keep in mind that Kadikoy is located  on the Asian side, so the most convenient airport is Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), which is about a 50-minute drive away we strongly recommend you to book your flights to SAW Airport as the journey to Kadikoy is much easier.

However, if this is not an option, the second best alternative is Istanbul International Airport (IST), which is located on the European side and although the travel distance is similar be aware that crossing the Bosporus Bridge could lead to significant traffic and delays which can take you up to 2 hours depending upon the type of transportation you choose.

Getting to Kadikoy from Istanbul Airport

Metro & Shuttle Bus

Although this is the best way to avoid traffic, taking the Metro from Istanbul International to Kadikoy requires changing lines four times, and it can be a lengthy journey, so we suggest a combination of Metro and Shuttle Bus.

Take the M11 metro line from Istanbul Airport to Kaigithane Station. From there, change to the M7 line and reach Mecidiyekoy Station, where the bus station is located. Several buses depart for Kadikoy. This journey will take about 2 hours and cost approximately 80TL (3EUR).

Shuttle Bus

The easiest way to travel to Kadikoy from Istanbul International by public transport is to take the Havaist bus, which will take about 2 hours. You will need to get the HVIST-14, which can be found on the second floor outside the arrival terminal. Buses run every 10 minutes and cost 179TL (7EUR).

Taxi

Getting a taxi can cost between 775 and 1,318TL (26- 46EUR). However, we don’t recommend taking a regular cab from the Airport as the prices are not fixed, and there’s a high chance you might get scammed.

Private Transfer

If you are not planning on packing light or will be travelling with children and don't want to take public transportion  we suggest booking a private transfer. This option can cost you between 40 and 50 EUR each way, and we suggest pre-booking it before arriving.
